At Haldane, our mission is to contribute to the conservation and improvement of Wheaten Terriers by producing litters that uphold and enhance the AKC standard.
We prioritize health, temperament and conformation in every pairing.
Our focus is on quality over quantity. We are an AKC Breeder of Merit and belong to the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Club of America.

Grooming
The Wheaten has a flowing, wheaten colored coat. Grooming is critical to keeping your dog comfortable, neat and clean. This breed is a high-maintenance grooming breed. Check out these instructions and tools at the SCWTA website.

Breeding
Our wheatens are overwhelmingly healthy and long-lived. When you get a puppy from Haldane, be assured that we pour time, love and attention into each breeding. Our goal is that you and your puppy build a long-lasting bond.

Wheaten Temperament
Wheatens are an exuberant breed, maintaining their liveliness well into adulthood. They are alert, intelligent and want to please but need patient and consistent instruction from you, their leader! They love exercise, playing and they will spin circles and are famous for the ‘wheaten greetin’.
